Valerie M. Russo is a writer, poet and graduate student. She was born and raised in Spanish Harlem, NYC. She received her BA in Anthropology from the Hunter College of the City University of New York. Once awarded the Langston Hughes Award for Writing, she currently works as a senior copy editor in the ever-unfaltering City of New York.
